Star Wars: The Force Awakens (also known as Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens) is an upcoming American epic space opera film directed by J. J. Abrams. The seventh installment in the main Star Wars film series, it stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Max von Sydow. The story is set approximately 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983).

The Force Awakens will be the first film in the planned third Star Wars trilogy announced after The Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of Lucasfilm in October 2012. It is produced by Abrams, his long-time collaborator Bryan Burk, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. Along with directing and producing, Abrams also co-wrote with Lawrence Kasdan, who co-wrote the original trilogy films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Abrams and Kasdan rewrote an initial script by Michael Arndt, who also wrote the story treatment. John Williams returns to compose the score, and Star Wars creator George Lucas serves as creative consultant.

The Force Awakens is produced by Lucasfilm and Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and will be distributed worldwide by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Second-unit filming began in April 2014 in Abu Dhabi and Iceland, with principal photography taking place between May and November 2014 in Abu Dhabi, Ireland, and Pinewood Studios in England. The Force Awakens is scheduled for release on December 18, 2015 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D, more than ten years after the release of the last live-action Star Wars film, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

The Journey: Creator Clint Johnson is bringing characters, ideas and products that not only stimulate the mind but also speak to the heart. The Frontline character created by Clint D. Johnson is Faith Walker: street preacher, law-enforcer and urban hero. Faith Walker ran as a comic strip in a local newspaper and independent distribution from 1990-1994. A few years later an off Broadway production based on the strip was produced. This production was accompanied by a Faith Walker comic book. The comic book was created to pick up and transition where the comic strip ended. Matthew Cross later appeared in the graphic anthology, “New Visions” which experienced a complete sell-out of its first printing. The anthology was co-published by New Creation Publications and ClearVision Communication. In 2008 Johnson partnered with New Creation Entertainment and released select Matthew Cross: Faith Walker pages as an ongoing web comic. In 2010 New Creation released Faith Walker Victorious trade paperback that celebrated 20 years of the priestly patrolman. As the journey continues, Faith Walker was launched 11.11.11 as a revised revamped web comic under the umbrella of Open Sky Creations. There are new trails to tread on. After working with several entities over time in the spring of 2013 Faith Walker united with M25:20 Media, Inc. as the walk continues.

About Faith Walker Creator Clint D. Johnson
The Seed: New to the ministry, Clint Johnson used his talents of illustration and design to assist with church leaflets and programs. As a serious comic enthusiast the comic book influence was evident in his approach to visuals. One swift chain of events gave birth to Clint’s passion-FAITH WALKER. Deacon David Bell of World Won For Christ Ministries suggested Clint Johnson, a new member to that ministry, use his talent as a ministry. The seed was planted and the creative process took root. Shortly, Johnson encountered Publisher Annie Pierce and pitched the idea of a scripture quoting street walker who would confront the ills of the community. Having a working relationship in place from the past, the door swung open and Faith Walker put on his first pair of walking shoes. In 1990 The Community Circle Clipper gave Faith Walker his stomping grounds as a ground breaking black and white strip.

William Lee @WILLIAMXLEE https://twitter.com/williamxlee http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2914215/?ref_=nmbio_bio_nm https://vimeo.com/williamxlee

An independent film director for three decades, he has known how difficult it is to make a film with little financial backing and huge amounts of unasked-for advice. His passion for what he does has kept him moving forward in the face of staggering challenges.

Born in New York, Lee’s father A World War two veteran and aircraft engineer moved the family westward when William was 6 years old, but not way out west, as in La La land (rumor has it that Lee’s father was staunch New Yorker who hated phonies!), but the Midwest–The State of Ohio to be exact.

After seeing Kung Fu legend, and martial arts movie legend Bruce Lee on screen for the first time in 1974, Lee asked his father to purchase a movie camera so that he might replicate the famous martial artists’ exploits–albeit on a smaller scale. Within a year of picking up a movie camera, Lee received his first film award at the Eye Music Festival of San Francisco. Since then, he has directed over 30 film projects.

William LeeOutside of the obvious controversy, Lee has found that black film making has come to a complete halt in terms of creativity. The era of “hood/ghetto/gangsta” films seems to keep hanging on, with the same tired plots and imagery. Lee has found it impossible to find funding because he steers clear of typical material.

Until his first major release Code: Black, in 2007, Lee had been virtually unknown. His films languished in obscure film fests,Midwestern film premieres, and on-line sites like Indieflix.com. Never quirky enough to interest Sundance, too action filled to be praised in major “refined” film circles, never peopled by major or even sub-major stars, financed totally from Lee’s various day jobs, he has spent every year since 1974 chasing that dream. The dream that one day he could be seen for what he is. Not a black filmmaker, but a filmmaker who makes non stereotypical, well written action films with a message. Nothing more, nothing less.

Unfortunately, in spite of his growing reputation as a talented director, the color of his skin remained a problem as investors showed a lack of confidence in the ability of an African-American to direct a produce a money making film. He constantly had to turn to friends and family for financial backing.Determination and persistence are the heart and soul of William Lee. These qualities were ultimately tested by a challenge that would shatter a lesser man. As if what he had endured before was not daunting enough, Lee had to deal with something far worse than the usual backstabbing of the movie industry: life-threatening cancer-like Systemic Lupus.

Diagnosed in 1997, the disease required him to undergo surgery, treatment with experimental drugs, and chemotherapy for the better part of two years. In addition to substantial weight loss, Will Lee was forced to contend with a gaping hole in his side, and physical debilitation that resulted in lengthy periods during which a wheel chair was his only way of getting around. In spite of the intense pain and temporary setbacks, he eventually forced a miracle. The affliction that once placed his life in jeopardy is now in remission, and he is a fully functioning member of the community: a testimony to medical advances and his own desire to live. Having overcome the danger, but realizing there is no cure for the disease, this Lupus survivor today smiles at the memory of the experience.
