Amber Chardae Robinson is a tenacious theatre artist who is currently a proud MFA Acting candidate at Columbia University in the City of New York. Some of her Columbia credits include: Hurt Village, Amphitryon, Oedipus The King, Medea, Lysistrata, True West, and The Glass Menagerie.
In 2012, she graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a B.A. in Theatre, where she was a dedicated member of the oldest African American theatre troupe in Texas “The Charles Gilpin Players.” She was awarded an “All Star Cast Award” at the National Association of Dramatic and Speech Arts (NADSA) in 2012 for the award winning performance of To Be Young Gifted and Black. Some of her Undergraduate credits include: Once on This Island, In The Blood, Hedda Gabbler, The Good Times are Killing Me, Neat, Felicia, and Prima.
She has been blessed to work with such talented theatre artists as Ted Shine, Timothy Roseborough, Cristal Chanelle Truscott, Kristin Linklater, Andrea Harring, Andrei Serban, and Nicky and Ulla Wolcz.
Currently she is working on the new production of Hello I’m Eve directed by Carl Cofield and written by Rebecca Nicholson.
